The Artists

Deborah Kronenberg

Deborah Kronenberg graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English and a minor in Urban Studies and received her Masters degree from New York University in Educational Theatre.  She worked as a teaching artist for four years in Chicago, primarily working through Free Street and Fine Arts for Kids of Logan Square.  While in Chicago, she also performed long-form imrpov regularly at the Playground Theater.  Last year, she published an article in the Youth Theater Journal entitled "Towards an Empowerment Approach" about how to build empowering arts programs.  She worked for two years at the Center for Teen Empowerment using the arts to train youth organizers.  Currently, Deborah lives in Boston and is working as a teaching artist.
